This year's “Sound the Call” conference is set for October 8-10, 2009 at Lake Yale Baptist Conference Center, near Leesburg. This year we celebrate our 10th year anniversary. The theme is “YOUR Kingdom Come”, Matthew 6:10. Andy Merritt, pastor of Edgewood Baptist Church, Columbus, GA, will be the keynote speaker.
Workshops will include these topics: Ministry Opportunities, Abortion Recovery, Strategic Leadership, Community Relations, Legal, and Adoption.

“Sound the Call” is a statewide pregnancy care center conference for directors, staff and volunteers of Pregnancy Care/Resource Centers and life-affirming ministries. Under the leadership of our faithful servant Kathleen Hiers Shanks, former director of Sanctity of Human Life, the Lord impressed on her heart the verse, Nehemiah 4:20, “at whatever place you hear the sound of the trumpet, rally to us there, and our God will fight for us”.
From the beginning, the commitment has been to equip, encourage, and challenge these ministries to remain faithful to Christ and His Gospel. Over the last nine years, more than 2000 people have attended the conference and we have rejoiced in spiritual victories, the salvation of souls, reunited marriages and the restoration of families.
